Lip Fillers & Dermal Fillers
Lip fillers and dermal fillers treatment involves injecting a medically developed solution under the skin with a fine needle to enhance facial features and plump and fill lines, grooves or sunken areas.
As we age, our skin changes and unfortunately, this means that we lose hydration as well as facial fat. Our natural elasticity reduces due to the degradation of collagen and our skin becomes more fragile. As a result, over time the natural volume of your youthful skin begins to diminish. This results in wrinkles and folds.
As a rule of thumb, if you have areas of your face that are more mobile, i.e if you frown often- this will be where you may first notice the natural aging process.
Who performs your filler treatments?
We only allow medically qualified and experienced practitioners who are GMC & NMC registered and fully insured to carry any kind of injection Treatment.
We only allow fully trained medical staff to inject at LaserLife Clinic. It’s important that when choosing a clinic for your Botox treatment that a medical professional is performing the injections.
Dermal fillers can help reduce and improve:
Dermal Filler treatment areas
Dermal Fillers can treat a range of skin concerns. Skin concerns include lack of volume and shallow to deep wrinkles and folds, such as smile, marionette and lipstick lines and those on the corners of the mouth, chin, neck, décolletage and hands.
When administered correctly by a medical professional, dermal fillers can subtly smooth, soften, contour and tone the skin; restore youthful plumpness, enhance and define your features.
As you age, your lips naturally become thinner and lose definition. You may notice this the most around ‘Cupid’s Bow’, the V-shaped area of your upper lip. When you lose definition, many people turn to Lip Fillers (Dermal Fillers) to enhance the shape of their lips and the plumpness.
How are lip fillers injected?
Before the procedure, we will apply a local anaesthetic to the lips to ensure the area is numb. If you haven’t had a consultation already, you will need to have a consultation with the Doctor to determine your overall goal. You may undergo the consultation and treatment during the same appointment.
Lip fillers are then injected into the area required to give you more natural fuller lips. When injecting dermal Fillers into the lips, your Doctor will focus on improving the shape and increasing the overall plumpness.
The procedure itself will only take around 30minutes and you will not feel a thing due to the aesthetic.
Best Dermal & Lip Fillers
At LaserLife Clinic, we use Juvederm fillers and Allergan.
Juvederm is the highest quality lip filler as it’s a smooth consistency gel, compared to some hyaluronic gel products that have a granular consistency. This allows a smoother and longer lasting treatment, with results lasting as long as 9months.
Allergan has real, noticeable results—you may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for treatment of moderate to severe frown lines. Results may vary.
Made from biocompatible, biodegradable materials and Hyaluronic Acid, Juvéderm® replaces the naturally existing substance in your skin that repairs damaged tissue. There are different types of Juvéderm®:
- Juvéderm® Smile fills in lip lines and wrinkles whilst hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture. Add subtle volume to create more fullness and definition of your lips
- VOLUMA® with Lidocaine, replenishes lost skin volume to regain a youthful curve to the cheeks. Juvéderm® can also enhance the overall shape of your face.
- Hydrate™ helps attract and hold moisture within the skin to restore a healthy natural glow.
