Step 1 – the consultation
If you are considering to have a lipo freeze, it is crucial and important that you schedule a consultation first. Here you will get the chance to explain your wishes and our therapists will then guide and inform you of the various possibilities. We will also carry out a grab test to ensure you have enough in the area to treat.
Everybody is unique and needs a tailored consultation and procedure. Your Therapist will explain the benefits with the various options, and together, you will decide the next steps.
Step 2 – the treatment
During the treatment, we apply a gel pad and cooling device to the targeted area of fat.
You may feel an initial sensation of intense cold, and a tugging or slight pinching as a vacuum draws fatty tissue into the applicator cup. But both sensations usually subside in 5 or 10 minutes as the area becomes numb.
Most procedures take up to an hour, but the time will vary depending on the number of areas being treated. (It may also be possible to treat two areas simultaneously.)
During the treatment you can relax, read, work on your laptop or have a nap.
You may only need one session to achieve satisfactory results, as cryolipolysis is believed to reduce the fat in some treated areas by up to 20%.
Step 3– Recovery
There is a possibility of some mild discomfort directly after each treatment.
Step 4 – Aftercare
The protein cells increasingly continue to process these fat cells over a course of up to 12 weeks and through this due course are sent to the lymphatic system to be eliminated from the body. We recommend to drink up to 2 liters of water a day to help flush the fat cells out. Tea, Coffee and alcohol should be avoided for the first 72 hours.
Results can take between 4-12 weeks to fully show through, in this time you may find that your skin will slowly start to show results and shape into a more desirable silhouette.
