Scar Treatment London (Scar Removal)

Scars are not only a reminder of an unpleasant experience, but also a big cause of self-consciousness. Until now, scars would normally be a life-long mark on the body, but cutting edge technology has helped solve this issue.

At Laser Life, we have years of experience treating all types of light and dark scars caused by various types of damage to the skin, including childhood scars, accident scars and operation scars to name a few of the most common we treat. At Laser Life, we have plenty of qualified specialists that will ascertain the right course of treatment for your individual needs for scar treatment.

We provide two main methods of scar treatment for removal – Fractional Resurfacing and Derma roller.

What is Fractional Resurfacing?

Fractional Laser skin resurfacing provides total rejuvenation to give the skin a smooth, youthful and glowing appearance. It targets minute sections of the skin with laser light, which penetrate into the tissue, causing small columns of thermal damage to stimulate significant collagen renewal. The skin looks tighter due to the collagen shrinking immediately, and is followed by long-term stimulation of fibroblasts which will produce new collagen over the following months. The surrounding areas of non-treated skin facilitate faster healing; giving dramatic results without the significant down-time.

How can a Derma roller help with scarring?

Derma roller (also known as Skin Needling) is the latest skin renewal technique to renew the skins surface at a fraction of the cost with minimal downtime compared with other procedures such as Laser Resurfacing and Chemical Peels. Derma roller can provide amazing results but is much less invasive. As a result, the healing time is significantly shorter with no UV sensitivity post-treatment. This treatment is best for various skin conditions such as stretch marks and cellulite. Derma roller allows for controlled induction of the skins self-repair mechanism by creating ‘micro-injuries’ in the skin which trigger new collagen synthesis, yet does not pose the risk of scarring. The result is smoother, firmer and softer looking skin.
